Delis Around the Corner
Due to the fact that the well known Shi-Da night market is just three minutes away from us, there is no way you should miss out some of the Taiwanese delis within walking distance.
Hsu Ji steam-fried baozi has been famous for a long time, one of the few food stands that remained for years. These baozi are perfect as a snack, easy to eat as you stroll along the night market. (Eating while walking is sort of a must-do behavior in the night market culture.) There's pork, cabbage and leak within the baozi, a good starter to the grand Asian food culture.
The corn is in flames, but the taste turns out to be just great. Nothing can beat a well-experienced food stand owner after all.
Finally, just before heading back to three little birds, you can pick up some supplies (or beer) at the Welcome supermarket that opens 24h.
These nice little shops and food stands are all listed in our map.
Will introduce some more of the wonderful Taiwanese cuisine next time.
Till then.
